MANATI, Puerto Rico (WKBN) – The Youngstown State University Women’s Basketball team suffered its third straight setback with a 70-34 loss to Southern Indiana at the Puerto Rico Clasico on Friday morning.
The Penguins were held scoreless in the second quarter in the setback.
Freshman Erica King led the Penguins with 11 points, while Sarah Baker tallied 6 points and 6 rebounds.
The Screaming Eagles were led by Ali Saunders who finished with a game-high 13 points. Trinity Ralston and Chloe Gannon added 10 points apiece in the win.
With the loss, YSU drops to 4-3 overall on the season. The Penguins return to action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. against Towson.
