DAYTON, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown State men’s basketball went on the road and took down Wright State 80-70 at the Nutter Center on Wednesday night for the team’s fifth straight victory.
It was an all-around effort from the Penguins with four players reaching double figures scoring, led by Ty Harper’s 16-point night.
Also for YSU, Jason Nelson scored 15 points and Gabe Dynes added 10 points and 6 rebounds off the bench. Cris Carroll was the fourth Penguins in double figures with 10 points.
YSU senior Nico Galette would also pitch in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists as well.
The Penguins entered the night a 6.5 point underdog but hung with the Raiders all game before unloading a 11-1 run to take control of the game with about a minute to play.
With the win, YSU improves to 7-5 overall and will hit the road again on Saturday, Dec. 21 as they take on SC Upstate.
