Ursuline scores 30 points in the 3rd as the Irish down Struthers

STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ursuline boys basketball beat Struthers 83-51 as comeback is fueled by the Irish’s Jace Riccardo.

Struthers nearly had the lead the entire first half but Ursuline roared back and scored 22 points in the second quarter to make the score 35-31 at halftime.

Irish sophomore Jace Riccardo fueled the comeback and made three three-pointers in a row in the 3rd quarter. Riccardo finished the game with 30 points in the win.

Also, Ursuline’s Noah Bell scored 27 points and Jaylen Gunther posted 17 points in the victory.

Struthers’ Ty Price led the Wildcats in scoring with 14 points. Gianni Stewart also backed him up with 12 points in the loss.

Ursuline plays next at home against Canfield on Friday, Dec. 6. Struthers plays Saturday, Dec. 7 against Cardinal Mooney.
