U.S. Justice Department to monitor voting in South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)–  The U.S. Department of Justice announced it will be monitoring South Carolina on Election Day for compliance with federal voting rights laws.

On Election Day, Justice Department staff will be in contact with state and local election officials as needed.

Civil Rights Division personnel will be available all day on Nov. 5 to answer questions and complaints about possible voting rights violations.
