Trump expected to attend fundraiser in Utah on Sept. 14

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Former U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to attend a fundraiser in Utah on Saturday, Sept. 14, Republican Party officials told ABC4.com.

Exact details on the fundraiser’s location have not yet been released, though officials tell ABC4.com it is scheduled for Salt Lake City.

The event is set for four days after a scheduled presidential candidate debate between Republican presidential nominee Trump and Democractic nominee Vice-President Kamala Harris, which will air live on ABC4 on Sept. 10.

Trump’s campaign told the Associated Press that it brought in $130 million in August, not as much as the month prior but a figure that his advisers said put the GOP nominee in good position for the remaining two months of the general election campaign.

Most of that figure — 98% — came in the form of donations under $200, Trump’s campaign said Wednesday, with an average donation of $56.

The fundraising release comes as the general election battle between Trump and Harris hits its peak. It was just over six weeks ago that President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid and elevated Harris to the top of the Democratic ticket.

Trump’s campaign reported $327 million in cash on hand at the start of August. Harris, meanwhile, claims to have crossed the half-billion-dollar mark.

Matthew Drachman and the Associated Press contributed to this report.
