A school has held onto its “good” Ofsted rating five years after its last inspection.
Temple Hill Primary Academy, in Dartford, was praised by the education watchdog for being “friendly and inclusive” where students “aspire to do well” and “value their education”.

Inspectors highlighted that the pupils had a “keen sense of importance and equality” and the school was “united and harmonious” where everyone was welcome.
They added: “Everyone is committed to ensuring that Temple Hill Primary Academy continues to strive for the very best for its pupils.
“This thoughtful and harmonious work ensures that pupils are independent individuals ready to face the learning and the world ahead of them.”
The report said students “enjoy their learning”, do not give up when things are difficult and are “safe and happy”.
Inspectors also commended staff for making classes “fun and interesting” and said they are “united in their determination” that all pupils are successful learners.
Their report added: “These positive attitudes, alongside the school’s high expectations set for learning, are helping pupils to increasingly achieve well.”

It also noted that the academy, in St Edmund’s Road, supports its pupils and families well, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities and those who need extra help managing their emotions and behaviour.
Overall, the school, which is part of The Golden Thread Alliance Trust, was rated “good” across the board, however, inspectors said some pupils are struggling to write as well as they should for their age.
They said there are not always opportunities for students to write across the curriculum which “hinders the development of their writing skills”.
Despite this, the report said “outcomes across the school are rising” and teachers are focused on developing pupil’s writing skills with specific projects in place to help.
Welcoming the report, head teacher at Temple Hill Primary Academy, Leon Dawson, said: “It is an honour to lead this exceptional school and serve our incredible community of children, families and staff team.
“I could not be prouder of the intelligent hard work that happens every day throughout the school.

“It was a joy to share what we do with an Ofsted team who took a listen-first approach and I felt they really understood exactly why and how we deliver the best possible educational experience for our pupils.
“Our children know they belong here and that they come to school to learn and to gain the best chance at success in life.
“The school team, and those who work to support us through our trust, deserve all the credit for the success clearly recognised in this glowing report.”
The chief executive of The Golden Thread Alliance, Garry Ratcliffe, added: “I would like to congratulate Leon and all the staff at Temple Hill following this excellent report from Ofsted.
“The comments made by inspectors are deeply deserved and reflect the hard work and commitment of the whole team.”
