Kiwanis Club of Pike County is hosting a Friday, Sept. 27 golf tournament to help fund community outreach programs including providing weekend meals for students in Pike through the Pike County Backpack Program, supporting recreation sports and local scouts in the Flint River Council, Christmas gifts for local families in need and helping the Young Lives Teen Moms organization. The tournament will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Raintree Golf Club in Thomaston. Donations are tax deductible.
“We hope that community can support this golf tourney Sept. 27 – businesses and golfers alike,” said Jason Brisendine. “Every dollar goes to support kids in our community through food programs, eye exams, school band program, reading initiatives, Christmas gifts and other initiatives.”
