Sonja Jean Cooper

Sonja Jean Cooper, 84, of Shell Knob, Mo. passed away Friday, November 22, 2024.

She was born January 23, 1940 in Cassville, Mo. the daughter of William and Mabel (Henbest) Sanders, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Billy Dean Sanders and Michael Ray Sanders.

Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Cooper; son, Russell Arl Cooper of Louisville, Texas; daughter, Julia Donetta Cooper Riggs and her husband John of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, Johnnie Jay Sanders and his wife Juanita of Warner, Okla.; sisters, Judy Gayle Jarnagin and her husband MD of Independence, Mo. and Ronna Sue Brock of Claremore, Okla.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She attended school in Granby, Mo., graduating from Granby High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church.

Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Pastor David Donaldson and Brother Lonnie Stockton conducted the services. Burial was at Painter Cemetery in Shell Knob, Mo.

The family received friends from 10:00 A.M. until service time Wednesday.
