LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Next week marks the beginning of the Charles Schwab Playoffs’ visit in central Arkansas and organizers are highlighting some things to know before heading out to watch the golf tournament.
Organizers say the best way to start is with tickets. Associate tournament director Caley Veacham said each ticket helps the community in the long run.
“Pretty much every ticket you buy is going back into this community, so anything above and beyond what it costs to make the tournament happen is part of what becomes the overall community impact,” Veacham said.
Simmons Bank Championship expected to be economic boost for Arkansas
During tournament week, there will be no parking at Pleasant Valley Country Club or in the surrounding neighborhood.
“You’re going to park over near Top Golf,” Veacham said. “That’s the best location for us. It’s centrally located for people coming from north, south, east or west.”
General admission parking will be located at 11900 Colonel Glenn Road and accessible accommodation parking will be at 62 Pleasant Valley Drive. More parking information can be found on the tournament website.
“Once parked, you will take a 10-minute private shuttle to the course,” Veacham said. “Then you will come through security.”
Preparations continue for Simmons Bank Championship, first PGA Tour event in Little Rock
Shuttles will run Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Security checkpoints will be mandatory to ensure no prohibited items enter and all bags fit the PGA protocol.
“We’ve got magnetometers at all our entry points,” Veacham said. “It’s going to be a very safe event. They will check your bag, they will scan your ticket and you will come in right over by the practice areas.”

The tournament board has talked with the Pleasant Valley Community, specifically the country club’s neighbors, to ensure they can enjoy the tournament without interruption.
“We want to make sure they enjoy this experience as much as the people attending it,” Veacham said.
The tournament will be held from Oct. 21 to 27. More information on tickets and the event schedule can be found at SimmonsBankChampionship.com.
