Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — A Richland County K-9 got an unforgettable send off Monday complete with gifts including a painting in the officer’s likness painted by artist Racheal Myers.
The Sheriff’s Department held a retirement party for officer Kobe at the K-9 Office after his latest surgery. Kobe was injured following an officer involved shooting back in March and has been in rehab ever since. Veterinarians however, suggest it would be best if he took an early retirement.
Kobe will remain with his handler enjoying being able to fetch some much needed relaxation.
