A woman who initially said she was grabbed by the waist in an attempted kidnapping in Abington, Massachusetts, changed her story after police investigated.
Abington Police Chief John Bonney said Saturday that his department worked hard to verify the initial claim, and “came to the conclusion that the original account from the victim was not adding up.”
When she was questioned again, the woman said she was not grabbed near the South Shore Terminal lot after all, and that no one got out of the van she said they had.
