I see what you’re saying. I certainly do NOT think there is a need for a white history month. So I agree with you there. But it sounds like having a black history month is just making the problem you are stating worse. Calling black people out because of their color (whether that be a good reason or not) continues to separate them from the general public). It’s healthy to identify racism in the past and to learn from it (all forms and colors of racism). I have seen that calling out black people in ways like black history month only enhances the problem of racism. America was founded on strong religious beliefs of freedom and equality. Our history shows that American abused this. We should get back to these principles and stop singling out certain racists in the process. We are all seen as equals in the eyes of God.
