Primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church spoke  out against Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the protest  movement

ArmInfo. The Primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church spoke out against Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the protest movement, criticizing his speech on Public Television of Armenia.  In a video interview with one of the Armenian media outlets, Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, the Primate of the Shirak Diocese, expressed his dissatisfaction with Galstanyan's speech.

He believes that Galstanyan is not succeeding as an opposition leader and should stop. Galstanyan's problem, according to his colleague in the "shop", is that the shadow of former presidents of Armenia looms behind him, with thoughts and efforts to
return to power. He believes that both the second and third
presidents should leave the political arena.

This is necessary for sober reasoning and calculation. If they do not
know this, it means they do not understand anything. They fail to
understand that the majority of Armenia's population does not want to
hear about them. Therefore, he confidently stated that if the former
presidents exit the political arena, the protest movement will
undoubtedly continue. He expressed surprise that Galstanyan does not
realize this.

In response to this speech, Bagrat Mikoyan, the head of the Office of
the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan,
noted in his comment that Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan distorts cause-
and-effect relationships in attempt to assign blame in a peremptory
prosecutorial tone. <It remains to guess whether this is a genuine
misconception or something else?>, Kocharyan's office noted
