VERNAL, Utah (ABC4) — Those looking to explore and camp at Dinosaur National Monument are going to have to pay a little bit more to get into many camping spots.
The National Park Service says they are raising prices starting in January of 2025, marking the first increase in prices in almost 10 years.

The majority of the camping areas are making raises across the board, and only one area remains the same.
The Echo Park Group site will see a total increase in all rates across the board, from $15 to $25. Split Mountain’s Group site is keeping the same high season rates of $40, however off-season rates will double in price from $6 to $12.
“This modest increase in fees will allow us to continue to protect, preserve, and share the special places here at Dinosaur with current visitors and future generations,” Dinosaur National Monument superintendent Phil Akers said in a press release. He said that this was the right course of action to take based on input from the public.
“Senior and Access Pass holders will continue to receive a 50% discount on camping fees at Green River, Echo Park, Deerlodge Park, Gates of Lodore, and Rainbow Park campgrounds,” NPS said in the release.
