Police crack down on noise polluters in Cyprus

As part of the Police’s efforts to combat the phenomenon of noise pollution, police checks were carried out last night in nightclubs in all provinces. During the checks, two businesses in Paphos had stereos confiscated.

According to the police, ‘a total of 69 premises were inspected in all provinces. Various offenses were noted in 20 of the properties in question, for which their managers were reported. The complaints mainly related to the operation of premises without a relevant licence, the sale of alcoholic beverages and using sound equipment without relevant licences.’
