MERCER CO., Pa. (WKBN) – A portion of Interstate 80 in Mercer County has reopened after being closed for over five hours following a crash early Saturday.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, two tractor-trailers were headed east on I-80 when they crashed around 2 a.m. Saturday. There were only minor injuries.
I-80 Eastbound was closed between Exit 4 (Route 760, Sharon/Hermitage) and Exit 15 (Route 19, Mercer). It reopened just after 7:30 a.m.
There are currently speed reductions and vehicle restrictions in place for I-80, among other Pennsylvania roads, due to the winter weather. You can see all of those here.
