BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Downtown Bakersfield is getting a brand-new but already old-favorite business.
Moo Creamery, the popular west Bakersfield eatery, is moving to Eastchester, and not just anywhere in Eastchester.
Moo is moooving to the New China Cafe, a historic building at 18th and Q streets — a key fixture of Bakersfield’s early 20th century Chinatown. New China Cafe, most recently the home of Inclusion Films, was built in 1928.
Construction ongoing: LongHorn Steakhouse is coming in 2025
Moo Creamery owner Jessica Strong and business partner Tomas delToro have hired Elevation Architecture to complete the considerable transformation. That’s according to Bakersfield City Councilman Andrae Gonzales, who announced the long rumored move on social media. DelToro confirmed the move.
The new Moo Creamery will include a bakery, a bar, and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining, according to Gonzales.
Construction is already underway. The New Moo is set to open sometime in 2025.
