Macy’s at the Wyoming Valley Mall will close, the department store announced Thursday.
According to a press release, its closure, along with 66 other locations, is part of the company’s Bold New Chapter Strategy, which will close “underproductive” stores over a three-year period while focusing on revitalizing others.
The list of closures includes both the main Macy’s store at the Wyoming Valley Mall, as well as its Mensware store.
Three other locations in Pennsylvania will also close including stores in the Logan Valley Mall, Exton Square Mall, and Philadelphia Center City.
An exact closing date has not yet been announced for the location at the Wyoming Valley Mall, but the press release states most stores are expected to close during the first three months of 2025.
