NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Humane agents with the Animal Welfare League are investigating an animal abuse case in Niles.
The investigation stems from what was recorded in a video posted on social media earlier this week.
It shows a woman hitting a puppy, kicking it, and yanking it by its leash.
According to a police report, it happened Tuesday morning.
AWL CEO Bethany Cluckey said two puppies are being surrendered to AWL. Cluckey says AWL will be working with prosecutors to determine the next steps in the case.
At this point, no charges have been filed.
