LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Natural State native Olivia Chambers won a gold medal Saturday in the women’s 400m freestyle at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Chambers, a Little Rock native competing in her first Paralympics is a collegiate swimmer at the University of Northern Iowa and finished with a time of 4:29.93, leading the field from start to finish.

She will also be competing in three other events this week, the Women’s 50m freestyle S13 on Monday, 200m medley SM13 on Tuesday and the Women’s 100m breaststroke SB13 on Thursday.
Chambers is one of five representatives of the Natural State in the 2024 Paralympics joining Kaitlin Bounds, Jillian Elwart, Julia Gaffney and Hunter Woodhall.
