Lavrov: CIS Foreign Ministers` Council meeting in a narrow format  held in trusting and constructive atmosphere

ArmInfo. The CIS Foreign Ministers' Council meeting in a narrow format was held in a trusting,
constructive atmosphere and was effective. This was stated by Sergey
Lavrov,  the Russian Foreign Minister, during a working meeting of
the CIS Foreign Ministers' Council on October 7.  "We had a detailed
discussion about the progress of multilateral cooperation within the
CIS, exchanged views on regional and global issues, including ongoing
conflicts and crises, " the Russian minister said and noted the
ongoing work of the CIS Foreign Ministers' Council.

In turn, CIS Executive Committee Secretary General Sergey Lebedev
reported that at the narrow format meeting, the CIS Foreign Ministers
approved its agenda and regulations. "The heads of delegations
primarily focused on frank discussions on current international
issues and collaboration within the Commonwealth," he said.  Lebedev
also informed that by decision of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council,
the next meeting of the heads of foreign policy departments will take
place on April 11 in Kazakhstan. At the same time, he added that it
was decided to sign all the documents on the agenda without
discussion, as they have been fully agreed upon.

Note that the event is attended by the Foreign Ministers of Armenia
and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov. The Armenian
side has already issued a statement, noting that there are no plans
for a separate meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and
Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
