Junior High boys defeat Greenfield/Northwestern

 Jace Fryman scored three runs and stole five bases, and West Central beat Greenfield-Northwestern 9-4 in junior high baseball Sept. at Palmra.3.

Greenfield-Northwestern led 3-2 after three innings. The Cougars tied the game in the fourth and scored four runs in the fifth.

Emerson and Jack Little each walked, and Corbin Arnold reached on an infield single to load the bases in the fourth inning. Maddox Chapman walked to force in a run, and West Central led 4-3.

Brock Fuhler singled to start the fifth inning, and courtesy runner Hudson Little stole second and third base and scored on a balk.

Thrice Kirkpatrick walked, Fryman singled and Jack Little walked to loan the bases. Kirkpatrick scored on a passed ball. Colby Pratt singled to drive in two runs and increase the lead to 7-3.

Kirkpatrick homered to lead off the sixth inning, and Arnold drew a bases loaded walk to force in a run.

The Cougars stole 16 bases in the game. Fryman stole five bases, Emerson Little stole four bases, and Maysin Alexander stole three. Jack Little and Hudson Little each stole two bases.

Kirkpatrick went 1-for-3, scored two runs and drove in one run. Pratt went 1-for-4, scored one run and drove in two runs. Arnold went 1-for-3 and drove in one run.

Fuhler went 2-for-4, and Fryman went 1-for-2.  Emerson Little, Jack Little and Hudson Little each scored one run. Chapman drove in one run.

Daxton Littig pitched three and two-thirds innings to gain the win. He scatter five hits, walked two batters and struck out two. Little allowed three runs including just one earned. Emerson Little pitched two and one-thirds inning He allowed two hits, one earned, walked one batter and struck out two.
