Humphrey to study beef production and land management

Oklahoma state Rep. Justin Humphrey, R-Lane, is planning an interim study to examine federal and state regulations and their responses as well as global initiatives opposing beef production and land management in his state.

As part of that work, Humphrey has planned a public meeting with presenters from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Oct. 16, at the Stan Tech Building, 4100 N. Lincoln, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, according to a news release from the Oklahoma Independent Stockgrowers Association.

Speakers and topics include U.S. Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyoming, will speak on RFID EID and 30 X 30 proposals. Shad Sullivan, a fifth-generation rancher and property rights advocate with operations in Texas and Colorado, will address the “war on beef.” John Paul, a pastor with 1000 Hills Ranch Church, from Woodward, will focus on “The Promise”.

Linda Murphy, an Oklahoma educator and property rights advocate, will address electric transmission corridors in her state from a national perspective. Karen Gerfen Glueck, is a vice president of communications and strategic planning with AGPROfessionals, Greeley, Colorado, and she will present on “Enemies Lurking in Oklahoma”. Mindy Patterson, founder and president of The Cavalry Group, Guthrie, Oklahoma, will present on “Public Private Partnerships and The Sustains Act”.
