BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KGET) — Deputies found an arsenal — including bomb-making materials –inside a Lake Isabella home where human bones were also located, according to sheriff’s officials.
Investigators seized 31 guns, three hand grenades, explosives materials, 10,000 rounds of ammunition and 95 grams of methamphetamine from the home of 52-year-old Michael Deatherage, officials said. A warrant was served Thursday on the property in the 3000 block of Erskine Creek Road.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene when the human remains were found and an investigation is ongoing, officials said.
Deatherage was arrested and is being held on $697,500 bail on suspicion of weapons and drug offenses. He’s due in court Tuesday.
