GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. – Workers at the Garland County Library are still feeling uneasy after a break-in on Christmas morning.
Library director Adam Webb said it’s the first break-in at the building in more than 30 years.
“We were all kind of roused from our Christmas morning routines,” Webb said. “Came up here to find that our exterior door was broken, and that the interior door was broken as well.”

They also noticed that the library’s donation box was missing.
“We’ve been raising money for a remodel for the library, and that’s one way patrons have been donating to the process,” Webb said.
Webb said the box probably had about $50 in it.
“It put staff on edge a little bit,” Webb said. “Of course, being broken into feels like a violation.”
One library guest agreed the break-in leaves her feeling uneasy.
“It is scary to think of the fact they could just pop in, take all of that that people have been working hard on getting this place renovated,” Kelly Brezonick said.
