If you travel behind Maricopa High School often, be prepared for roadwork starting Monday and expected to last through December.
Crews from Tempe-based Nesbitt Contracting are scheduled to begin work on widening Edwards Avenue, between Taft and Maricopa roads. They will also be working on curbs, pavement, sidewalks, and street lighting, according to a city statement.
There will be lane restrictions as crews work, but the roadway will remain open in both directions.
