Eureka Springs is gearing up to ring in 2025 with an exciting inaugural event designed to make a splash — literally!
The Eureka Springs City Advertising and Promotion Commission, in collaboration with the HOE Christmas Committee, Basin Park Hotel and State of Arkansas are rolling out the “Free to Be” New Year’s Eve Street Party, promising a night of fun, celebration and community engagement.
The event is free with festivities set to kick off with a vibrant parade and culminate in a dynamic street party at the Basin Spring Park. The highlight of the night will be the unique countdown experience: a spectacular water drop from the top of Basin Park Hotel into a water barrel below, symbolizing a fresh start and the arrival of the New Year.
This new event aims to draw visitors to Eureka Springs during the winter season and emphasize the city’s year-round appeal. Organizers are inviting locals to attend and local businesses, particularly those with ABC permits, to participate in the festivities and join the effort to create a memorable experience for residents and visitors alike.
How to Get Involved Restaurants & Bars
Businesses eligible to operate under the temporary Entertainment District permit (expected to run from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Dec. 31) are encouraged to join the “Free to Be” street party or sign up as a bar crawl location.
Warm-Up Spaces
Retail shops can participate as warm-up spaces, staying open until at least 10 p.m. and offering non-alcoholic beverages to entice foot traffic and provide cozy retreats for partygoers.
Promotions and Benefits
The event will be hosted by Eureka Springs’ own Sean Paul from Intrigue Theater and will feature significant promotional efforts, including online streaming through platforms like Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, as well as live cut-ins on regional news broadcasts. Event flyers will be distributed across the city, and a dedicated landing page with updated information will be accessible via QR codes.
Businesses that participate will benefit from increased visibility and the opportunity to showcase Eureka Springs as a premier destination for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
