Browning meat yields best flavor in slow cooking

I use my slow cooker a lot during the warmer weather – it keeps my kitchen cool. But I never make recipes that call for browning things on the stovetop before putting them into the slow cooker. I don’t want to expend the effort, or dirty two pans. Can I skip the browning step? Source
