ArmInfo.Armenian football clubs Urartu, Pyunik and Shirak have issued statements calling for
the resignation of Armen Melikbekyan, the head of the federation. In their statements, the football clubs emphasized that the current state of affairs regarding the national team and club football of
Armenia is a direct result of the decisions made by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).
"The ineffective appointment of coaches
for the National and youth teams, the activities of the BKMA football
club, the unacceptable format of the Premier League championship
(matches are scheduled during working hours), as well as the complete
lack of communication and desire to cooperate with clubs and their
academies – these are just some of the mistakes that were made," the
statements say. Let us add that today the fans' protest continued at
the Noah-Urartu match, as a result of which the match was suspended.
