All-Russian festival "Parajanov-fest" to be held in Moscow to  celebrate 100th anniversary of  Sergei Parajanov

ArmInfo.From October 5 to 30, the All-Russian festival "Parajanov-fest" will be held in Moscow  to celebrate the 100th anniversary of  Sergei Parajanov. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the event organizers. The event will be attended by renowned figures from the world of culture and art.  

"The Moscow Parajanov Theater and the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation are hosting a large-scale festival "Parajanov – fest", which will be held from  October 5 to 30 at prestigious venues in Moscow. As part of the  forum, a unique exhibition titled "Shadows of Parajanov" will open on  October 5, featuring 100 works by contemporary artists dedicated to  the director's anniversary. Additionally, a photo exhibition by  famous photo artists and friends of Parajanov – Yuri Mechitov, Viktor  Bazhenov, and Tatyana Danilyants' project "Gifts of Venice – to  Sergei Parajanov" will also be presented. The event will also include  a display of the author's collection by the famous Armenian designer  Lilit Melikyan titled "Seven Symbols of Parajanov".

As part of the festival, the Moscow Parajanov Theater will be  performing  "I Will Revenge the World with Love" on October 24th.   The Moscow Parajanov Theater is a guardian of the master's cultural  heritage in Russia and a laboratory of arts dedicated to the genius  of Armenian and world culture.  The forum will conclude with a gala  concert on October 30 in the Column Hall of the Central House of the  Russian Army. It will feature performances by jazz diva Mariam  Merabova, world champions in ballroom dancing Arsen Aghamalyan and  Oksana Vasilyeva, the Dance and Soul Theater of Sofi Devoyan,  Margarita Pozoyan, Narek Gevorkyan, the outstanding bassist and  People's Artist of Armenia Barsegh Tumanyan, and other artists.
