Greenfield School District has a lot to look back on and be thankful for this holiday season. One of their two principals in the district has been named Principal of the year by the Two Rivers Illinois Principals Association.
It was announced on Dec. 16 that High School Principal Beth Bettis was named the 2025 Two Rivers Region’s Illinois High School Principal of the Year.
This is quite an honor as she had some pretty stiff competition going up against other principals in the Two Rivers region which includes school stretching from Quincy to Waverly and from Triopia to Brussels including all of Adams, Schuyler, Brown, Cass, Pike, Scott, Morgan, Calhoun and Greene counties.
This program honors high school principals who have succeeded in providing high quality learning opportunities to students, made exemplary contributions to the profession and who are acknowledged by their peers.
“We are so proud of Mrs. Bettis and want to thank her for all that she has done and continues to do for our students, staff and community of Greenfield,” Greenfield Superintendent Andy Stumpf said. “Please join us in congratulating her on this prestigious award.”
