Details of the far-right AfD party’s radical election campaign program ahead of new elections next month have been presented.
Alternative für Deutschland wants to send foreign citizens out of Germany on a large scale.
“Call it remigration,” said chancellor candidate Alice Weidel at the national convention yesterday.
The party, which does not recognize climate research, wants more coal energy in Germany and wants to demolish all wind turbines. It also wants to restart defunct nuclear power plants and open up gas imports from Russia.
All parties in Germany have ruled out cooperating with the AfD for government power.
The AfD is currently in second place in opinion polls in Germany with an average of around 20 percent support. The conservative CDU/CSU is leading with 31 percent support.
