EDWARDSVILLE — The owner of Thompson Tours in West Pittston accused of cheating would-be vacationers was hit with another theft charge alleging she deceived an Edwardsville man who booked a trip to Europe.
Eileen Marie Miner, 69, of Atlantic Avenue, accepted a total of $7,780 from a man for trips to Germany and Austria, according to court records.
The man was supposed to leave on the European trip on Nov. 30, court records say.
Edwardsville police charged Miner with a felony theft charge for allegedly deceiving the man.
Miner is facing similar charges filed by police in Duryea, Hanover Township, Pittston Township, Wright Township, Wilkes-Barre City and the Wyoming Area Regional Police Department in Luzerne County and by police in South Abington Township and Archbald in Lackawanna County for deceiving would-be vacationers who booked trips through Thompson Tours.
