FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A fundraiser is being hosted to support a former Fresno County Sheriff’s deputy who is battling cancer, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
The Sheriff’s Office said local organizations Central Valley Fallen Heroes and Life After the Badge are hosting a fundraiser to support retired Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Herion, who is battling cancer.
According to sheriff’s officials, there will be a dinner and a raffle where people can have a chance to win a rifle and handgun. All proceeds benefit Herion and his family.
The dinner will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Yosemite Fall Café located at 512 N. Blackstone Ave., in Fresno. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased by calling or texting 599-304-4349 or 559-681-3384, deputies say. For more information, click here.
