I attended Homecoming’14, after a 35-year absence since graduating in 1979. The game was OK (even if we did lose), the band played great, the cheerleaders and crowd were enthusiastic. But there was no parade. The fraternity house lawns were ‘decorated’ with trash and houses not psyched up for Homecoming. Maybe you just lost the spirit, maybe you never had it.
Glad to see that Student Government and other groups are trying to do something. If they get students to actually stay on campus rather than pack up the laundry and go home to see mom . . .
