It was the first time since Ronald Reagan that the ceremony was not held on the steps of the Capitol in front of a crowd.Trump pledged an expansion of U.S. territory and an end to foreign wars in his second inaugural address, promising massive national success while rebuking the outgoing Biden administration. Some 240,000 people received tickets to attend inauguration as originally planned Monday.
