Clay County, NC (WOLO) — Deputies in Clay County trying to seize assets from a business in a court order say a man on the property tried to stop them in their tracks.
Authorities say it happened at LPG Ventures, a storage tanking and equipment company on North Jefferson Street around 7 this Friday morning.
while deputies were seizing property to pay an $8-thousand dollar judgment in a civil case – sheriff’s say a man believed to be the owner snuck onto the property.
Officials say he then jumped into crane and started driving it toward deputies who then pulled their guns in order to subdue him and take him into custody.
Officials the suspected business owner has not been officially charged, but say charges in the case are likely.
