A three-car crash on Maricopa’s main drag involved two Volkswagen test vehicles Wednesday night.
Maricopa police and fire responded to the crash on southbound John Wayne Parkway, just past Cobblestone Farms Drive South at 8:41 p.m., according to Phoenix Regional Dispatch.
A Chevrolet SUV at the scene had sustained damage to its front and sat idle behind the two Volkswagen test vehicles blocking the inner lane of the road. The Volkswagens did not have obvious damage.
No one was injured in the “rear-end chain reaction” crash, according to city spokesperson Monica Williams.
Two southbound lanes were closed at 9:30 p.m. as police cleared the scene.
