A 17-year-old driver was killed in a crash that closed Interstate 93 south in Londonderry, New Hampshire, on Friday, state police said.
Lillianna Cawthron was driving southbound on I-93 around 2:45 p.m. when witnesses say the car went off the highway on the right, hitting several trees. Cawthron was taken to Elliott Hospital in Manchester and died of the injuries.
The highway was shut down but has since reopened.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
